Located on the edge of the World Heritage Site and the Castle Street Conservation Area, Eden Square is ideally located for merging the old with the new.

This is the first phase of the redevelopment of this historic part of the city and when finished, will become Liverpool’s new Garden Quarter. Within this chic and modern new environment, the accommodation will offer a haven of tranquillity but closeness to the city.

The development, on Hatton Garden, is situated between the historic Dale Street, at the heart of the city’s government and Tithebarn Street, the traditional centre of Liverpool’s trading quarter.

Eden Square is a meticulous blend of the existing Grade II listed former fire station, fronting the development, with new design that adds to the architectural mix of the city.

The development comprises three main elements which, when completed, will provide an unrivalled opportunity to live and work in what is fast becoming the most talked about location in Liverpool.

Phase One will see the construction of two new structures, respectively 10 and 12 storeys in height.

The 10 storey building will join the existing listed elements of the site in fronting Hatton Garden and will comprise 63 self contained apartments on the upper floors with mixed ground floor and mezzanine use. The tear drop shaped footprint of this building is enveloped in glass to maximise light.

The 12 storey building fronts onto Cheapside and has a similar combination of commercial ground floor use with 58 residential apartments on the floors above. The stepped nature of the building introduces a distinctive addition to the city’s skyline.

These two distinctive buildings are separated by a large new area of public open space, consisting of a mix of surface and paving textures, timber boardwalks, stainless steel lighting, seating and landscaped areas.

Eden Square also features the creation of three levels of basement parking to accommodate 131 vehicles.

Phase Two will see the former fire station converted to accommodate commercial units on the ground floor with 22 apartments on the upper floors.
